Drywood Termites: ( See small picture top right corner )

Evidence of drywood termites are fecal matter like droppings/pellets some what similar to cricket droppings, but with indentations around the fecal matters. Fumigation is the primary recommendation for the 100% elimination of drywood termites.

All other treatment methods, such as thermal heat, freezing, microwave, electro-gun, chemical treatment, orange oil treatment are secondary recommendations which are limited and to control a particular area of the infestations. These methods of treatments are design to control the infestation only, not 100% elimination of drywood termite.

If the 3 days of fumigation move out is a major inconvenience for your family, in lieu of fumigation. At TTT Termite Control Company, we offer Timbor treatments as a long term preventative treatment method to control the drywood termite to areas such as attic, garage and subarea subflooring wood members. ( See Timbor: Alternative To Fumigation page for more Information )

Subterranean Termites: ( See top page for picture )

Evidence of subterranean termites are mud tubes, tubing out of the sub area soil or through hair line cracks in the concrete slab. Subterranean termites colonies exist in the ground or soil, each colony vary in sizes and numbers ranging from 60,000 to 80,000 Subterranean termites per colony. Termiticides are used to control the subterranean termites or by drilling through the concrete slab to pressure inject the termiticide into the ground soil for the control or elimination of the infestations.

Fumigation, thermal heat, freezing, microwave, electro gun are not design to treat or eliminate the subterranean termite or its colony. Only with proper applications of termiticides to the infested area will do the job.
